Antler Wine Racks
Antler wine racks are typically made for single bottles. When you are looking at antler wine racks, you have to ask yourself why you want one. If it is mostly for show and an addition to your rustic decor, then size of the rack doesn't matter as much. Do you usually buy a split, a half, a bottle, a magnum? Most antler wine racks are made for regular size bottles.
When storing wine, there are a few things that you need to remember to keep your wine in optimum condition before you drink it. Proper care of wine depends on the type of wine that you drink, but there are a few rules for all wines.
The main thing to keep in mind when storing wine is, of course, avoid light and heat, as well as vibration. All wines must be kept out of the light as much as possible. Position your antler wine rack out of the sunlight and away from florescent lighting and sodium vapor lamps.
Any wine with a cork in the top should be kep horizontal. If the bottles are stored upright for a long time, the corks will dry out, and air will eventually get to the wine, ruining it. If you store it label side up, it'll be easier to spot any sediments that may have formed in the wine over time.
Do not store the wine anywhere that there will be a strong bad smell. I can't image that you planned to keep the wine rack in a smelly place, but you never know. The smell will get into the cork and ruin the taste.
Temperature and humity of the storage area is very important, but inside your house, there isn't much you can do about that. Drink any bottles of wine you have in the racks within a month at least, and just keep replenishing the bottles.
