Antler Writing Instruments Antler writing instruments include letter openers and pens of all makes and models. All pens are handmade and most come with brass fittings and high quality inside parts.  Some of the pens are scrim etchings on them. Some pens come in special wooden boxes or other presentation containers.
 
 Handcrafted like wooden pens, these anter pens are one-of-a-kind gifts and keepsakes. The first writing instruments were rocks or sticks that cavement used to scratch pictures on cave walls. Maybe they stuck the sticks in the fire and burnt the ends and learned to write with those.
 
The Greeks developed the earliest means of writing. These early Greeks employed a writing stylus, made of metal, bone or ivory, to place marks upon wax-coated tablets. That was the earliest form of pen and paper.
